Past Club Projects - Special Olympics of Delaware County

As you know the board approved a donation to the Special Olympics of Delaware County. On Saturday June 23rd, 2007 the athletes and coaches loaded into the bus we sponsored and headed to the Summer Games being held at Ohio State University. The torch was brought in from Marion and passed on to the Delaware team to carry into the games. I attended the ceremony and presented our check to one of the athletes. It was quit an event and the everyone connected to the group was extremely grateful for our participation in their event. Wendy Salyer, one of our own, was also there representing The Alpha Group who works with the Special Olympics. To view photos of the event click here.
